Additional information and restrictions

It's the 2024 salmon season, and Carkeek Park Salmon Stewards will don their signature blue vests and return to the spawning grounds of Piper's Creek in November and December!
In Carkeek Park every Saturday & Sunday from November 2 - December 1, 202, Carkeek Park Salmon Steward volunteers will be available, freshly trained, and endlessly excited to answer your questions about this fall's salmon run and how your everyday choices impact their lives.
Look for Salmon Stewards in the blue vests along the stream trail. Visit our our interactive education booth near the east end of the lower meadow parking area. Meet Garden Hotline staff to ask them your natural yard care questions and how chemical-free gardening protects our region's iconic salmon.

The Garden Hotline is a free, year-round program managed by Tilth Alliance and sponsored by the Hazardous Waste Management Program, Seattle Public Utilities, the Cascade Water Alliance, and Seattle and King County's RainWise Program.
