Where to take hazardous waste

Residents and eligible businesses in King County can drop off hazardous waste at four fixed collection facilities and a traveling Wastemobile. Disposal service is covered in your utility bills so there is no additional fee.

Home collection program

Note: We temporarily suspended home pick up services due to health concerns related to COVID-19. The safety of our customers and staff is our priority. If you would like to be notified when services are available again, please contact us at haz.waste@kingcounty.gov or 206-296-4692.

If you are 65 years or older, or a person with a disability, call us. We’ll pick up unwanted hazardous products at your home and safely dispose of them. You will not be charged a fee when your items are collected. 

To schedule a pick-up, call the Haz Waste Help Line (206-296-4692) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please be ready to provide the types and amounts of waste you have for collection.
